Federal Appeals

If you are looking to appeal your federal conviction, Attorney Stephanie Kemen may be able to help. An appeal essentially asks the Court of Appeals to review the finding of guilty or the sentence that was imposed. However, new evidence cannot be introduced to the Court of Appeals. They may only review what happened at the District level. A decision on appeal can take several months or years, but if the Court of Appeals agrees with your argument, you may be able to have your conviction reversed or your sentence reduced.
